Bodega Casa Montaña

Casa Montaña is a turn-of-the-century tavern located in Valencia's Cabañal district, next to the port. Our outstanding wine cellar is testament to our commitment to promoting and broadening wine culture.  Casa Montaña is part of the city’s distinguished club of gourmet establishments and stands out for its extensive wine list, with bottles from over 1000 wineries around the world, all kept at a constant temperature and humidity.Valencian wines are particularly well represented. All of Casa Montaña’s wines can be sampled and enjoyed by the glass, while the restaurant’s spirits and naturally sweet wines offer a tempting alternative. In total, our wine cellar boasts a total of some 20,000 bottles.Besides our expert team of professionals, at Casa Montaña we prize quality of ingredients above all. The products we serve include Santoña anchovies, michirones (stewed beans), dryland-farmed potatoes, cod croquettes with pine nuts, Mediterranean mussels, grilled sardines, fried anchovies from boats out of Castellón, and locally caught squid. All of our canned seafood is from the Galician fjords and of the very highest quality. Cold cuts of ibérico pork, cured meats from León and 100% acorn-fed ham completes our selection of cold dishes, while our chopped sirloin steak with tender garlic shoots is another highlight of our extensive menu.
