A night with Robert Forster at the Loco Club

The news of a new Robert Forster tour is always a highlight for his very loyal fans. The Australian artist returns to Valencia on May 31 to present his latest work, "The candle and the flame", at the Loco Club.

The former member of the legendary Go Betweens is still putting out records, not out of inertia or necessity, but rather out of conviction and with talent to spare. And as is usual in these times, the only alternative to make the most of everyone's talent is to get out on the road or get on a plane and tour from city to city in search of applause and recognition (in the form of tickets sold) from the public.

This tour is also an excuse to present a new studio album, "The Candle & The Flame", an album as simple in its production as it is perfect in its execution, and that arises from pure adversity: in 2021, his partner and mother of his son, Karin Baümler, was diagnosed with cancer. After processing the news, Baümler announced that she was not giving up. Her resolute attitude in the face of misfortune resulted in a song titled "She's a fighter", the first on the album.

These songs will be featured on the night of May 31, but there will also be space to enjoy highlights from other great Forster albums such as "The Evangelist", "Songs to Play" or "Inferno".
