IVAM turns into a nomadic, multicultural space that defies history
To celebrate the International Julio González Award 2024 for her contribution to contemporary art, Simone Fattal takes over the IVAM with a major exhibition.
From 28 November 2024 until 1 June 2025, the museum will be transformed into a timeless journey where the archaic and the modern are seamlessly intertwined, offering a glimpse into the career of this Lebanese artist.
Simone Fattal's work, mostly sculptural but also including paintings and photographs, draws on mythology, creating a nomadic, multicultural space that defies history as we know it.
Her sculptures are usually made in bronze, clay and stoneware, and conceptually range from ancient Egyptian to Sunni mysticism and Greco-Roman tradition.
She has sought inspiration for her creations from historical figures of the Mediterranean.
Would you like to see Simone Fattal' s production at IVAM? So, what are you waiting for? Book your ticket now.
