Beach season is almost here, and Valencia is already prepared to raise the Blue Flag over seven of its beaches: Cabanyal and Malvarrosa in the city; as well as Arbre del Gos, El Saler, La Garrofera, La Devesa and Recatí Perellonet, all south of town.
Since 2016, all the city of Valencia's beaches have been granted the Blue Flag designation, including Pinedo, which was only dropped from the list so that it could become a pet-friendly beach to provide a place for tourists visiting Valencia with their pets.
The Blue Flag has become the most-recognized symbol of tourism eco-quality, guaranteeing the quality of the water and sand, respect for the environment, accessibility and basic services for bathers.
