Tournament: “The Birthplace of Chess” in Valencia

he Chess Federation of the Valencian Community invites you to the 6th International Tournament “Valencia Cuna del Ajedrez”, which will be held in 2025 on the ground floor of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. 

This prestigious high level event attracts players from all over the world, and offers cash prizes of up to €12,000, as well as lots of trophies. 

The tournament will be played under the Swiss system - each competitor faces an opponent with the same - or the most similar - rating in each round. In total there will be 9 turns with a game pace of 90 minutes per player and an increment of 30 seconds per move. 

Registration will be open very soon, and if you need somewhere to stay during while you’re in Valencia, don't worry! Colegio Mayor Ausias March, offers full board accommodation at an affordable price - this is the official tournament accommodation.
