Mig Any Fester 2025: the Moors and Christians festival in Valencia

Valencia dons the turban and chain mail!

The Mig Any Fester 2025  organised by the Maritime-Valencia Moors and Christians Association is just around the corner. It’s a celebration that combines tradition, history, culture and a whole lot of partying.

From 11 to 13 April, the seafront promenade will be filled with colour as it hosts a medieval fair, shows, parades, re-enactments and music from all over the world.

Mig Any Fester 2025 Schedule

Friday 11th

It all starts at 7 pm with the official opening of the Medieval Fair, which will have more than 50 stalls selling crafts and culinary delights, with live medieval music and the debut of the Ballet Sabaya.

Saturday 12th

From 11 am, you can browse the stalls at the fair and at 6 pm Sabaya returns to perform Moorish and Christian dances with different acts every 45 minutes.

The main event is scheduled for 6:30 pm in the form of a wrestling exhibition between Moors and Christians warriors, just how it would have been in the past but with a more epic feel to it.

And that’s not all!

Several parades will then take place with the Banda de Guerra Furia Catracha and Las Catrachas Papillonas, starting at 6:45 pm and continuing throughout the evening.

To top off the day, at 7 pm, the Traditional Instruments Group performs, also over the course of the evening, and the team captains are chosen and costumes handed out.

Sunday 13th

The fair gets back into full swing from 11 am with a parade by the Banda de Guerra Catracha, accompanied by the folk group Raices Latinas.

At 12 pm, the 16th Moorish-Christian Children’s Parade (the “Entraeta Infantil”) will begin, which starts and ends at the fair.

At 1 pm, all the participating groups will come together in a big festive parade with costumes, dances, drums and shared emotions.
