A documentary exhibit from artist Antoni Miralda
“Honeymoon: Unclassified” is the project by Catalan artist Antoni Miralda, which will be on display at Bombas Gens Centre D’Art from April 27 to November 26.
This documentary exhibit is based on the “Honeymoon Project”, an artistic endeavor that resulted from the marriage between two historical monuments: the Christopher Columbus in the port of Barcelona, and the Statue of Liberty in the bay of New York.
The purpose was as simple as creating a link between the two cultures and providing an exchange of ideas, products and traditions. And, incidentally, it revealed the similarity between the two through their symbolisms of the conquest of America and the liberation of the United States.
The reason for this project stems from the current exhibit in Bombas Gens of the Gondola Shoe: a gift from Venice to the Statue of Liberty tailor-made for her
Take advantage of this opportunity to visit the exhibit offered by this range of curiosities. In addition, to put the icing on the cake, a series of events will be held that will be open to the public.
