La Devesa beach
Platja de la Devesa, 46012 València, Valencia, España
TOURISTIC AREA: Albufera
If you really want to see a truly wild beach, surrounded by thick vegetation and far away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, then look no further: what you need is La Devesa. One of the greatest attractions of this place is its privileged location, as it is situated between two immense bodies of water, the Mediterranean and L'Albufera, the largest freshwater lake in Spain. This is the magic that this beach exudes, the magic of spaces that seem unusual and surprising. Since it stretches for 5 kilometres, you will feel at ease, very comfortable. We are in the largest protected area of the Nature Park, with a rich landscape and a surprisingly native and seasonal fauna. It is certainly worth taking a bike ride to the nearby Racó de L'Olla Interpretation Centre, where you can observe all kinds of birds in their natural environment. You will not regret it!
Being the only wild beach in Valencia is not inconsistent with a very comprehensive range of services. Amongst them, it is worth mentioning that it is accessible to disabled people and that there is an adapted footpath in the Casal D'Esplai area. A good number of restaurants guarantee a unique culinary experience.
