Access:

All-glass door. Door with staff permanently on duty.

Lift:

A panoramic lift connects every floor in the Museum. With visual information inside and outside of the lift. Using the lift from the Ground Floor requires authorisation from the Museum staff because it avoids having to go through the turnstiles.

Cafeteria / Restaurant:

Located on the Ground Floor, allows visual contact with both the inside of the Museum and the outside.

Shop:

No door; allows visual communication with the rest of the Museum.

Physical

Car park:

Fourteen reserved parking spaces on both floors of the Umbracle underground carpark. With horizontal signage. Accessible route to the Museum via four adapted lifts.

Access:

Door with vertical pull opens outwards. Entrance with staff permanently on duty. Access with no change in level and a smooth, slip-resistant floor surface.

Reception:

Located on ground floor, with an accessible route. There are two adapted counters 75 cm high that give priority attention to people with limited mobility. People with limited mobility can avoid the turnstile and take a lift to the exhibition, after requesting the service from the Customer Care staff at the turnstiles.

Indoor mobility:

Three-floor building with accessible route. Floors connected by escalators and three adapted lifts. Smooth, slip-resistant floor surface. Corridor width, more than 120 cm.

Toilets:

Four adapted cabins located on the ground floor, two for men and two for women. Two cabins on the first floor, one for men and one for women. Six cabins in total, located in separate restrooms.

The restroom doors are always open with a passage width of 90 cm. Toilets are 45 cm in height, with a foldable support bar on the right and a fixed one on the left on the ground floor, and both bars are foldable on the first floor, situated at a height of 60 cm. The distance between bars is 77 cm. The lateral transfer zone is more than 80 cm. The maneuvering space is less than 120 cm. Sinks are 81 cm in height without a pedestal, with a depth of 65 cm and a free space underneath of 77 cm in height on the ground floor and 67 cm on the first floor. Pressure taps in all restrooms.

Lift:

There are two large-capacity lifts that prevent people with limited mobility from having to go through the turnstiles. Room for 35 people or 10 wheelchairs. Users must be accompanied by Museum staff. No handrail or audible signal to indicate floor landing. A panoramic lift in the centre of the building with 90 cm clear width. Using the lift from the Ground Floor requires authorisation from the Museum staff because it avoids having to go through the turnstiles.

Display:

There is an exhibition consisting of interactive thematic modules on the First and Second Floors. All the floors are adapted with an access ramp. Ramp measurements vary. There is a permanent exhibition mostly made up by information panels on the Second Floor. Route with no changes in level and a smooth, slip-resistant floor surface. Corridors with more than 120 cm clear width. Equipped with furniture for sitting.

Cafeteria / Restaurant:

Located on the ground floor with an accessible itinerary. It has a cafeteria area and a restaurant-trattoria specialized in Italian cuisine, with traditional Mediterranean flavors. With homogeneous and non-slip flooring. Homogeneous lighting.

Shop:

Located on Ground Floor, with an accessible route. No door, with an access ramp and more than 120 cm clear width. Corridors with more than 120 cm clear width. Height of wardrobe shelves and drawers, 10-180 cm. Counter not adapted. Smooth, slip-resistant floor surface.

Visual

Access:

Glass door with no contrasted visual signage. Door with vertical pull opens outwards. Entrance with staff permanently on duty. Access with no change in level and a smooth, slip-resistant floor surface. Fixed doormat behind the door.

Reception:

Turnstiles on the ground floor, route with no changes in level and smooth, slip-resistant floor surface.

Indoor mobility:

Building with three floors connected by stairs, escalators and three lifts. Smooth, slip-resistant floor surface.

Toilets:

Two restrooms for men and two for women on the ground floor. One men's restroom and one women's restroom on the first floor. The restroom door is permanently open, with approved signage. No obstacles or protruding elements. Uniform lighting.

Lift:

No handrail and not equipped with audio signals to indicate floor landing and direction of movement. Floor in front of the lift door not indicated with a tactile-visual strip. Using the lift from the Ground Floor requires authorisation from the Museum staff because it avoids having to go through the turnstiles.

Display:

There is a permanent exhibition mostly made up by information panels with large print in contrasting colours on the Second Floor. There is a temporary exhibition made up by interactive thematic modules on the First and Third Floors. Route with unmarked barriers, bumps or projecting elements. Smooth, slip-resistant floor surface. Uniform lighting on the outside of the modules. Variable lighting on the inside.
