INFORMATION FOR VISITORS

Last update at 4:30 PM 12th November

1. Is the city of Valencia affected by flooding? Is it safe to move around Valencia?

The effects of the DANA storm in Valencia have primarily impacted the southern suburbs, including La Torre, Forn d’Alcedo, and Castellar. There are, however, difficulties with traffic accessing the city, so we recommend avoiding car travel if possible.

2 Can Valencia be accessed by road?

As a preventive measure, authorities recommend avoiding car travel throughout the province to allow emergency services to move freely to affected areas and address the severe damage.

If travel is essential, be aware that road conditions are changing and it is best to check the latest updates on the official channels of the Traffic Department, the Valencia City Council’s Traffic Office or the province roads map.

3. Are urban buses running?

Yes, but there are disruptions. Please call the customer service line at +34 963158515 or check updates via WhatsApp: +34 658674920. More information is available on the official EMT Valencia website.

4. Is the metro service operational?

The tram lines L4, L6, and L8 are operating with the weekday schedule (non-school days) from Monday to Saturday and the holiday schedule on Sundays, with service to Fira València from Monday to Sunday.

Line L10 operates with the August weekday schedule from Monday to Saturday without nighttime service and follows the holiday schedule on Sundays.

All metro lines are expected to be fully restored by early December.

To replace the metro lines that have not yet been repaired, buses are covering some routes. Check all currently operating lines here.
