The “Sorolla en negro” exhibit arrives at the Bancaja Foundation
Categories: exhibitions.
A hundred paintings by the Valencian artist return to decorate the city of Valencia
When we think of Sorolla, we immediately picture the white foam of La Malvarrosa Beach, or the green of Valencia's gardens. However, the "Sorolla en negro" (Sorolla in Black) exhibit focuses on the importance of the color black in the strokes of Valencia's most international painter.
If you love painting, you can't miss out on this show at Bancaja Foundation which will stay in Valencia through September 10, 2023.
This exhibit will include 40 more oil paintings than on its first stop in the city of Madrid, all thanks to the collaboration of the Sorolla Museum and the Sorolla Museum Foundation, as well as other entities.
This event is part of the series of exhibits for the Year of Sorolla, declared an Event of Exceptional Public Interest and commemorating the centennial of the artist's death.
Works never before shown to the public await you in “Sorolla en negro”. Are you in?
