Categories: exhibitions.
TOURISTIC AREA: Historical center
A stunning exhibition of painting, featuring three great Valencian masters, is on show at the Bancaja Foundation. Pinazo, Sorolla and Mongrell star in this exhibition of great paintings from around 1900.
The exhibition is made up of ten paintings created around the turn of the century. What they all have in common is that they were commissioned and painted for decorative purposes.
Until July 31st the general public can admire these works by three great painters, Ignacio Pinazo Camarlench (1849 - 1916), Joaquín Sorolla Bastida (1863- 1923) and José Mongrell Torrent (1870 - 1937).
This Bancaja Foundation exhibition includes notable pictorial works such as: Pinazo’s Bacante y Amorcillo (Bacchante and Amorcillo), Mongrell’s El Piropo y el Beso (The Compliment and the Kiss) and Sorolla’s Yo soy el pan de la vida (I am the Bread of Life). Don't miss this chance to see them!
