Admire the strokes of a master painter in the "La València de Joaquín Sorolla" exhibit at the Casa-Museo Benlliure.
The Casa-Museo Benlliure (Benlliure House-Museum) has brought the "La València de Joaquín Sorolla" exhibit to the city, with a sampling of over 50 works that you can visit through February 3, 2024.
Through different paintings, color notes (small paintings) and drawings, you can learn how Master Sorolla saw the most emblematic and characteristic spaces of the city of Valencia in the early 20th century.
This exhibit will be one of the last acts to celebrate the centenary of the death of the Valencian painter; a genius of painting who enriched the artistic heritage of the city with each work he signed.
The exhibit, which has been organized in collaboration with the Sorolla Museum in Madrid, showcases two parallel paths: on the one hand, how the city and its inhabitants changed and adapted to the needs of the new century, and, on the other, Sorolla's growth as an artist over the years.
