Jaume Plensa: first retrospective in Valencia
Categories: exhibitions.
TOURISTIC AREA: Historical center
The Bancaja Foundation rounds up a thorough retrospective of almost 100 works
Literature is the common thread in this retrospective Jaume Plensa exhibit that brings together more than 100 works by the artist created over four decades of production, and which is the most complete so far.
T.S. Eliot, William Shakespeare, Dante, Goethe and Vicent Andrés Estellés are some of the writers who have accompanied Plensa throughout his life and influenced his artistic output.
There are two reasons that make this exhibit even more special:
1. The sculptures that Jaume Plensa created during the lockdown are being shown to the public for the first time.
2. The work "Together", which has not been exhibited since the Venice Biennale in 2015, is back on display.
In addition, the sculpture "White nomad" has been installed at the Plaza Tetuán entrance. This is a figure that consists of letters and words, typical of Plensa's style.
This incredible exhibit can be visited at the Bancaja Foundation until March 19, 2023.
Don’t miss out!
