International Museum Day 2023
Categories: exhibitions.
This year the International Council of Museums promotes a sustainable future with the slogan “Museums, sustainability and well-being”
As every 18th May for more than 40 years, International Museum Day is celebrated with the intention of promoting cultural exchange and enrichment, as well as collaboration and peace between peoples.
With the slogan “Museums, sustainability and well-being” it aims to show that all museums have an important role to play in creating a sustainable future through educational programmes, exhibitions, community outreach activities and research.
The Museums of Valencia have special proposals for the date and also open their doors —both for locals and tourists— free of charge.
Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to get to know museums all over the city and take note of the programme so you don’t miss a single detail.
Shall we get started?
