A July with music in the streets, unique shows, fireworks, and Valencian folklore feature in the traditional "Great Fair of Valencia."

Enjoy the traditional Great Fair of Valencia, a month where the city offers numerous activities every day, and its streets are filled with color and rhythm with open-air concerts and fireworks displays. The celebration culminates with the spectacular Battle of Flowers, a grand finale to these days when Valencia vibrates to the rhythm of jazz, pop, rock, and smells of gunpowder, roses, and daisies.

On July 1, the grand opening features a parade of cornet and drum bands from Plaza de la Reina to Plaza del Ayuntamiento with an impressive aerial ballet show at 30 meters above the ground and a pyrotechnic display launched from the Town Hall terrace.

From Monday to Wednesday at 19:30 in July, don't miss the Environmental Guided Tour to the L'Albufera Natural Park to connect with nature and get to know the Albufera Natural Park up close, one of Valencia's most valuable natural treasures.

From July 4 to 7, the Medieval Fair will be held at Cabanyal Beach with the traditional entrance of "Moors and Christians." The event starts on Calle de la Reina and offers reenacted battles, traditional outfits, music, and rhythm.

Every Saturday in July, the sky of Valencia transforms into an illuminated canvas with dazzling fireworks at different points in the city. On the 6th in Plaza del Ayuntamiento, on the 13th and 20th on the Monteolivete Bridge and on the 27th in Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

At night, you have a date with the Viveros concerts, the music festival that every summer brings the best artists to the Viveros Gardens. This year, from July 2 to 23, a total of 18 concerts and 25 artists such as Carlos Vives, Luz Casal, Julieta Venegas, Taburete, or The Cult will form the lineup that will cover a wide range of musical genres from pop and rock to flamenco and rap.

Until July 28, you can enjoy the Jazz Festival with concerts in the gardens of the Palau, in Sala Rodrigo, in Sala Iturbi, and also in various neighborhoods of the city with "Jazz als barris."

From July 18 to 21, the Palau de la Música de Valencia will host the 136th edition of the International Band Competition "City of Valencia." More than 2,000 musicians will participate in this edition, with guest bands such as the Valencia Municipal Symphony Band, the Young Symphony Band of the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community, and the Cerrito High School Wind Symphony from the USA.

The main day of the festival will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20, with the Great Night of July that transforms Valencia into an epicenter of culture and entertainment. From afternoon until night, the city will be filled with concerts, shows, and free outdoor activities with workshops, circus shows, jazz, magic, children's musicals, storytelling, and Valencian folklore. Joining the celebration, most of the city's museums will open their doors at night, offering attendees a unique cultural experience.

As the grand finale of the Great Fair on Sunday, July 28, from 20:00 on the Paseo de la Alameda, the traditional Battle of Flowers will be held. 1,200,000 carnations are thrown between the occupants of the floral floats and the public. Hundreds of thousands of carnations fly through the air for nearly an hour, leaving a beautiful and impressive multicolored flower carpet in the end. A very special and recommended golden finale for those who have not yet experienced it live.

From July 4th to July 7th, 2024. The city's seaside districts celebrate the Moors and Christians festival. A large night time procession passes through the streets of Cabañal and Malvarrosa, the landing on the seafront promenade, followed by the Moors and Christians Entrance Parade.

Batalla de Flores 2023 Alameda

Sunday, July 28th, starting at 8:00 PM at the Alameda Promenade. The Flower Battle was established in 1891. It is held on the last Sunday of July, when a bloodless battle of flowers is fought between young ladies atop floats and the expectant crowds below. Thousands of marigolds fly through the air for nearly an hour, leaving a stunningly beautiful multicolour carpet of flowers on the ground. It is a very special and recommendable grand finale for those who have never experienced it before.
