Conference on wetland conservation and management
Categories: nature.
Join experts, scientists, and professionals at an event that explores the importance of wetlands in the face of climate change.
Do you know the power that lies in wetlands?
In the Mediterranean Region, these natural treasures abound and they are truly important: when they are well preserved, they work as natural carbon sinks, which is why it is crucial to preserve them.
Valencia, as European Green Capital 2024, knows that.
That is why from February 14 to 16, 2024, at the La Petxina Cultural Center, it is hosting a space in which to share scientific knowledge and advances to identify challenges and opportunities in their preservation; and also, to provide tools for the sustainable management of wetlands.
Front and center will be the case of the Albufera in Valencia, an inspiring example of resistance and preservation.
The event schedule kicks off with two days of information sessions that you can stream.
They provide a meeting point for researchers, scientists, international representatives, students and people interested in the environment.
And it ends with a visit to the Albufera Natural Park.
Don't miss this chance to be part of the change in wetland management - get involved!
