Categories: exhibitions.
TOURISTIC AREA: City of Arts and Alameda
The Bancaja Foundation welcomes "The Age of Bliss. Childhood in Sorolla's paintings", the first exhibit to focus on the depiction of childhood in the artist's work.
The exhibit consists of 86 works that the Valencian author devoted to children, and is divided into four sections:
The first is "The heart of the family", and features children's portraits and several works related to motherhood and the painter's own children.
The second block, entitled "The World of Children", shows playful and educational scenes depicted in optimistic and cheerful paintings.
The third section, called "The other childhood", portrays the reality of many working-class children at the time.
And to put the finishing touch on this curious tour, "The joy of water" collects images of children playing in the Mediterranean Sea.
As you can see, "The Age of Bliss" provides the perfect chance to discover the magic of childhood through Sorolla's eyes. Take advantage of this opportunity and visit this unique exhibit before November 13th.
Don’t miss it!
