TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT
CYCLE PATHS IN VALENCIA
Valencia has an extensive network of cycle paths that connect all the neighbourhoods of the city. There are also ciclocalles (bicycle-priority streets with lanes in the middle of the road and a 30 km/h speed limit for general traffic) and the Turia Gardens, where bicycles ride around freely along its 8 kilometre stretch.
WHERE TO RIDE
On cycle paths, ciclocalles and in the Turia Gardens.
Remember it is prohibited to cycle on the pavements, and it is only compulsory to wear a helmet in the inner city, and it's also compulsory in urban areas for children younger than 16.
WHERE TO LEAVE YOUR BIKE
There are approximately 300 Valenbisi bicycle stations in Valencia where you can leave Valenbisi bikes. If you’re using your own bike or you’re hiring a bike, there is bicycle parking throughout the city. Remember it's prohibited to lock your bike to lampposts or trees.
BICYCLE + METRO COMBINATION:
Bicycles can be transported on the metro without any additional charge, across the entire network on weekends, and on other days only on surface sections.
